Immutable’s Perpetual Rewards program, formerly known as The Main Quest, is now live! It has only now formally rolled out its first rewards, awarding participants IMX tokens to share the cost. The first distribution distributed almost $230,000 worth of IMX tokens to participants. This represents a big victory for the year-long program. These rewards are meant to encourage and engage players, further driving them within the Immutable ecosystem.
The highest-performing wallet took home an impressive payout of $8,467 in IMX tokens. The earnings distribution serves as a reminder of the massive earning potential embedded within the Perpetual Rewards program. Further down the line, the prize pool for next week is projected to be at least $90,000.
In the future, Immutable intends to add more types of rewards through the Perpetual Rewards program. The company plans to further expand the reward pool beyond IMX tokens to other assets, such as in-game NFTs. This expansion is intended to give players access to more meaningful rewards for their engagement.
Each reward key in the program is 500 gems. A player’s engagement and activity within the Immutable ecosystem will affect the rarity of a key. This rarity, in turn, impacts the value of their rewards. More engaged players are incentivized to earn rarer keys, unlocking better rewards.
This first distribution also marks the beginning of Immutable’s Perpetual Rewards program. This effort has captured widespread attention and momentum, raising more than $100 million to date with remarkable success. Designed as a year-long endeavor, the program is set up to continually and incrementally reward players across the course of an entire season.
